Technically a Remodel
By retaining enough of the existing structure, this project qualified as a remodel rather than new construction in the eyes of the building department. We take this approach whenever we can for three key reasons:
- To streamline approval through the building department;
- To control costs, and;
- To complete the project faster.
For this particular home “remodel”, we preserved a significant portion of the existing foundation. From there, we demolished everything above ground, added 700 square feet to the main floor, and expanded the upper floor by 300 square feet.

A custom home built from the ground up using the most energy efficient building materials on the market. We tore the old house down to the foundation and completely transformed this property. Featuring high-end finishes, media room, and a luxurious swimming pool.

Finally, our next featured project is located in the lush hills of Belmont, CA. This home is a completed interior and exterior remodel. We stripped the exterior stucco and interior down to the frame to complete the vision for this home. Take a look at the finished remodel!
